So…at long last, after seven months of searching, I have finally managed to purchase a Troopcarrier. Yes, I know it took a long time and I’m about 3 months over and went over my budget by 170%, but hopefully I have the right one. Details:
  • Travelled 427,000km
  • Engine rebuilt on 350,000km (so effectively a motor that’s 117,000kms old)
  • Low-PSI turbo fitted
  • Trakka Rooftop Tent fitted which enables you to sleep at the top without getting out of the vehicle, and also raising the roof to give you that extra bit of space
  • Hot water shower TWINE system installed that takes in some of the radiator heat and wraps that around the water system. Neat eh?
  • Twin-diesel 90 litre tanks
  • Kings Side-Awning
  • Built in Water Tank – somewhere! Not found that yet.
  • LED Light Bar and Spot Headlamps
  • New winch to be fitted (if I can’t fix the old one, will have a look at the electrics)
  • Cooper S/T Tyres on about 50% with wider rims – unsure if I’ll keep these wheels and tyres, but will get some new tyres fitted before I go anyway
  • Spare tyre fitted to the back
  • Drop-down cooking tray
  • Large wooden storage boxes (which I’ll remove)
  • 600W Inverter installed
  • Mains Electric hook-up
  • Max-traxx sitting in the back
  • Waeco 40 litre fridge
  • UHF Long Distance Radio (never used one before, no idea how to use it either!)
  • New JVC stereo with free CD of something or other – stereo has removable face for Security
  • 2x100W Solar Panels with solar regulator installed in the glovebox
  • KORR LED Camping Light Kit
  • Couplertec 4WD Electronic Rust Protection System
  • Free smelly-pine car dangly-thingy!

In reality, I paid all that money for cost purely for the smelly-pine thingy, with a car and stuff just thrown in. Will be spending the next several months getting familiar with my new baby and posting pictures and videos soon. Very excited!

The spirit is the essence of it all. I have a philosophy that my spirit is the one that is in control of my ambition. I mean, no matter how high my ambition is, if my spirit is not on par with it, then I will never be able to do something great with my life. I hope that I get the chance to go and talk about my spirit more. This blog is really good, it really made a change in my heart.
